In 2018, Country Cottage was founded in a small town in Southwest Colorado by two friends with a shared vision to create artisanal apple butter for their local community. Recognizing the abundance of traditional jams and jellies, they opted to specialize in this old-fashioned favorite. This strategic decision proved successful, leading to the development of unique apple butter flavors by combining various fruits and spices. The company has also expanded its product line to include soothing instant drink mixes, loose leaf tea blends and unique spice/seasoning blends. Initially showcased at local farmer's markets, Country Cottage's offerings now grace the shelves of small country stores in Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico, and have entered into the Arizona market.
